The fifth volume of the Antiquities Encyclopedia issued by the Arab Encyclopedia

The Arabic Encyclopedia Body has recently released the fifth volume of the Encyclopedia of Antiquities in Syria in a distinctive formulation and content filled with research illustrated with tables, figures, drawings and color pictures.

This volume contains the sequence of the letter G and the beginning of the letter H according to the methodology used in the encyclopedia, which was prepared, written, reviewed, and checked by specialized academic researchers.

The volume includes titles and research dealing with ancient sites in Syria and in the Levant as well as providing a comprehensive introduction to each topic, accompanied by pictures, plans, and illustrative maps. The volume also introduces the pioneers of research on Syrian antiquities.

The encyclopedia is provided by a technical, administrative and linguistic staff under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sayyed, the Director General  of the Encyclopedia and Dr. Mahmoud Hammoud, head of the Antiquities Encyclopedia in Syria.

"Atham " (Sins) novel, is a creative work depicting the war and the suffering of the displaced

Damascus, ST- "Sins' is a novel written by the Syrian author Sohail al-Theeb. It is classified as "war literature" because it documents the life of the Syrians and their suffering as a result of the aggressive war against their homeland.

The Arab Cultural Center in "Al-Meedan" held a special critical seminar on this novel, during which the participants dealt with the human and social situations experienced by the characters of the novel. The writer Muhammad Al-Jafri explained that this work mixes reality with imagination.

Washington’s long war on Syria”, by Stephen Gowans, is probably the most important book on   the terrorist war in Syria,   between 2011 and 2016, which is still ongoing.

The stories of parents and grandparents have motivated the writer Aqeela Muhammad to achieve a dream  she had longed to reach  when conditions allowed her to issue her recent collection of stories for children . She wrote her stories with the utmost love and passion and her lines include simplicity, imagination and dreams

Writer Aqeela clarified that three years ago, her passion for writing began, but as soon as she took her first step, so many opportunities were available to her, the first of which was with Osama magazine, which used to be her  childhood  companion and had a great impact on her generation. Her happiness was great in every text the magazine agreed to publish.

Ali Muhammad Wins Al-Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity

The story collection "Sixteen Braids" of  the Syrian Ali Ammar Muhammad won the first place in  Al-Sharjah Prize for Arab Creativity in the category of  best story collection for the year 2019-2020.

"The braid symbolizes the woman. The protagonists  of my stories are all women and my story collection raises and discusses many issues that concern women in general and eastern women in particular, including  early marriage, the widowed woman, and violence against women." Ali said to the Syria Times e-newspaper.

He went on to say:" I challenged myself as a man and tried to get deep into the woman’s heart and mind and to understand her feelings. I tried to think exactly as she thinks and feel the way she feels, then I wrote about all of this from my point of view".
