Russian TV channel films documentary depicting Daesh devastation of archaeological monuments in Palmyra

Palmyra (ST): The Russian Zvezda TV channel has prepared a special TV program about the ancient city of Palmyra. The program documents the destruction caused to the archaeological sites because of the systematic attacks of “Daesh” terrorist organization.

The documentary, which was filmed yesterday, concentrated on the residential city and the return of life to normal after its liberation from “Daesh” by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.

The program highlighted the life of the martyr archaeologist Khaled Asa’ad, who was murdered by terrorists on August 18, 2015, after his rejection to tell the secrets and location of the ancient city’s archaeological treasures and artifacts.

Assistant Director of the Program, Russian Journalist Ilyana Grinovich, expressed her happiness in visiting Palmyra and deep thanks for the facilitations provided by the concerned authorities to ensure the success of the documentary.

Syria says that its stable ideology is based on rejecting dishonorable deals

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Syria affirms that it has abided for decades of the Arab-Israeli struggle by a stable ideology based on rejecting all attempts of abandoning Syrian rights and lands, according to an official source at the Ministry of  Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The sources added that Syria has rejected accepting the status quo, pointing out that the Syrian people have offered blood and sacrifice to protect their rights and lands.

Syria renews call for ending Israeli occupation of the Syrian Arab Golan

Geneva, (ST) - Ambassador Husam Eddin AlaSyria's Permanent Representative to the UN Office, and other international organizations in Geneva, renewed Syria’s demand for ending the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Arab Golan.

Ambassador Ala said in a statement in the 45th session of the Human Rights Council “ Item 7 on the state of the human rights in Palestine and other occupied Arab lands”, that despite the Human Rights Council and UN bodies’ repeated resolutions call for ending the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan, the Israeli entity continues its illegitimate procedures to impose its laws and will on the occupied Syrian Golan in a flagrant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions ,including the resolution no.497 for 1981.

He indicated that the occupation authorities have continued their repressive practices against the Syrian citizens of the occupied Golan and have imposed arbitrary restrictions and measures that violate their basic rights. These basic rights include their right to work, health, educationpossession and freedom of movement.The occupation authorities continue their looting of the natural resources of the occupied Syrian Golan, the ambassador indicated.

Ambassador Ala added that, the occupation forces have continued to harass the Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan in an attempt to seize their agriculture lands and to confiscate them and establish an agricultural situation to serve the Israeli settlers, in addition to restricting the Syrian citizens’ movement and preventing them from building on their lands in the framework of the Israeli schemes to establish a demographic change in the occupied Syrian Golan”.

Syria stresses the importance of the Item 7 on monitoring the Israeli violations of the human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the Eastern al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the occupied Syrian Golan and its role in putting pressures on the occupation authority to oblige it to stop committing violations and illegal practices and to end its occupation”Alacontinued, holding the states supporting Israel responsible for the continuation of those practices and crimes.

Ambassador Ala said that “Syria condemns the continued expansion of Israeli settlements in the Syrian Golan and the occupied Palestinian territories, including Eastern al-Quds (Jerusalem), and calls for complete cessation of all forms of settlement and other activities aimed at making demographic change and converting the legal situation of the occupied lands in a blatant violation of the UN Security Council relevant resolutions and the Fourth Geneva Convention”.

The Directorate of Commercial and Industrial Property Protection at the Syrian Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection has granted Dr. Jameela Hseyyan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacology of Damascus University, and Dr. Khuloud Nashar, PhD student in the Faculty of Pharmacology, a patent for producing a new cream extracted from aubergine parts that kills Leishmania parasites.

The newly extracted production has been applied to dozens of Leishmaniasis-infected peoples at the Dermatology Hospital of Damascus University and it has proved to have positive results in killing the parasites that cause the disease.

The Turkish regime pursues aggressive and blackmailing policies, says Czech parliamentarian

Prague, (ST) - A member of the Czech House of Representatives, Yerge Kubza, criticized the silence of the European Union about the aggressive policies pursued by the Turkish regime against Syria, Iraq and Libya, its threat to Cyprus and Greece, and its military intervention in the ongoing escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

In a comment published today on his Facebook page, Kubza indicated that, the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, “is not content with that, but extorts Europe over the issue of migrants and continues with his repressive policies, despite this, the European Union has not imposed any sanctions on him neither has it condemned his actions,”considering that the West is now busy with sabotaging Belarus and interfering in its internal affairs.
