Participants in the International Conference on Digital Transformation: Holding the Conference in Syria is an opportunity to explore the digital future there

Damascus (ST): The importance of holding the Third International Conference on Digital Transformation (Opportunities and Challenges) in Syria comes after years of the terrorist war against it in order to help it realize digital transformation and review its problems and obstacles in this field, in accordance with one of the objectives and missions of the Arab Federation for E-Commerce.

The former Minister for Economic Affairs in the Tunisian government, Rida Saeedi, said in a statement that holding  the conference is an opportunity to explore the future for Syria, given that it deals with a fundamental issue not only at the level of the Arab world, but also at the international level, and it is related to the digital revolution and the digital transition.

With Arab and foreign participation, Damascus hosts the works of the third session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation

Damascus (ST): With the participation of Arab and foreign economic and scientific activities, the works of the third session of the International Conference on Digital Transformation began today at the Conference Palace in Damascus under the title “Syria and Digital Transformation  Opportunities and Challenges”.

The conference, organized by the Arab Federation for E-Commerce in cooperation with the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, will continue until the 11th of this month, and includes a scientific committee composed of academics and specialists in the field of digital, economic and legal transformation.

Six Syrian teams qualify for International University Programming Competition

Six Syrian teams have qualified for the International University Programming Competition after obtaining advanced positions in the regional final of the Programming Competition for University Colleges in the Arab World and Africa “ACPC”.  The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport organized the regional final on Monday in Luxor, Egypt. The finals  included 145 teams from 16 countries.

Engineer Salma Kabbani, director of the software competition at the Syrian Virtual University, said in a statement to SANA today: The qualified Syrian teams represent the universities of “Damascus, Aleppo, Al-Baath, Tishreen, the Virtual University and the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology,” at the rate of one team from each university.

Syria and Iran enhance cooperation in the field of scientific research

Tehran,(ST)  - Syrian Ambassador to Tehran Dr. Shafiq Dayoub discussed with Dr. Hussein Salar Ameli, Assistant Minister of Science, Research and Technology and Head of the International Scientific Cooperation Center of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, cooperation in the field of scientific research and the importance of developing and  enhancing it between the two countries.

During a meeting between the two parties, Ambassador Dayoub indicated the necessity and importance of establishing research centers and launching joint scientific training courses between the universities of the two countries to enhance the educational sector and scientific research.

The Syrian Excellence and Creativity Authority signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Moscow State Pedagogical University

On March 10th, the Director of Syrian Excellence and Creativity Authority Hala Al-Daqaq signed a memorandum of understanding with the Rector of Moscow State Pedagogical University Alexey Lubkov at the University’s HQ in Moscow.

The memorandum aims at strengthening cooperation in the fields of education and exchanging research between the two sides.
