Sons of Golan and the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 express solidarity with prisoners in Israeli jails

Hundreds of the sons of the occupied Syrian Golan and the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948 participated in a stand in front of the Gilboa detention camp in solidarity with the Palestinian, Syrian and Arab prisoners in the Israeli occupation jails. They denounced the repressive campaign against the prisoners after the Freedom Tunnel operation.

Al-Maqt: the freedom of the six Palestinian prisoners is a heroic act, like a miracle

The released prisoner, Sidqi Al-Maqt, confirmed that the six Palestinian prisoners who snatched their freedom through a tunnel they dug with their own hands from their cell in the heavily fortified Israeli prison “Gilboa” is a heroic act, like a miracle.

Sidqi Al-Maqt, the dean of the Syrian prisoners, who spent 32 years in the occupation’s prisons, most of them in “Gilboa” prison, explained that this heroic operation demonstrated the fragility of the occupation entity and destroyed all its fortifications.

Al-Maqt stressed that that the heroic prisoners represent the true will of the Palestinian and Arab fighter who refuses to submit and defies all circumstances.

Syria sends letters to international humanitarian organization on Israel’s violation of Syrian citizens’ rights in the occupied Golan

DAMASCUS, (ST)_Syria has appealed to the international humanitarian organizations to  press Israeli occupation authorities to stop violations of Syrian citizens’ rights in the occupied Syrian Golan and to immediately intervene to enable them to return to their towns.
 
“Upon the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the Syrian permanent mission, sent letters to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and to the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva, demanding to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their illegitimate practices against the Syrian citizens in the occupied Golan and to guarantee its compliance with  its international legal obligations under the Geneva Conventions, said the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatiates on Thursday.

UNSC renews mandate of UNDOF in the occupied Golan for six months

The Security Council on Wednesday renewed the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the occupied Syrian Golan for six months.

 The Council extended the mandate of the UNDOF mission, which expires on Wednesday, until December 31, 2021.

A terrorist group kills the mayor of Ghadir Al-Bustan in Quneitra

QUNEITRA, (ST) - The mayor of Ghadir Al-Bustan, Hussein Al-Kaaid, was killed by terrorists in front of his house in the southern sector of Quneitra governorate.

SANA reporter said that, terrorists shot directly at the mayor in Ghadir Al-Bustan village in the southern countryside of Quneitra after midnight last night, while he was in front of his house, killing him. The terrorists then fled.

A medical source at the Martyr Mamdouh Abaza Hospital indicated to the reporter that the hospital received at dawn today a citizen who died as a result of several gunshot wounds.

A civilian was wounded on the 17th of this month when an explosive device planted by unknown persons went off in his car in the town of Rafid in the southern countryside of Quneitra.
