Protests continue across Syria against Trump’s declaration on occupied Syrian Golan

Provinces - Protests on Thursday continued in a number of provinces in condemnation and rejection of US President Donald Trump’s declaration on the occupied Syrian Golan, SANA reported.

In Deir Ezzor, lawyers held a stand in front of the governorate’s building in Deir Ezzor City in protest against Trump’s proclamation.

Meanwhile, people of Quneitra held a stand in Damascus countryside in protest against Trump’s declaration on the occupied Syrian Golan.

Participants in the stand, asserted that the occupied Golan is a Syrian Arab land despite of all the attempts of the US administration along with the Zionist Lobby to impose its  guardianship and expansionist practices.

In Duma City in Damascus Countryside, a stand was also held at the  public square in condemnation of the US President’s declaration.

People of Occupied Syrian Golan Stress Adherence to Syrian Arab Identity, Say Golan is an Integral Part of Syria

QUNEITRA, (ST)- People of the occupied Syrian Golan have condemned US President Donald Trump's Recognition of Israel's "sovereignty" over the Syrian Golan, stressing that this declaration is null and void and it has no legal effect.

During a rally held in the occupied Baq'ata village, the people of Golan affirmed that Trump's Declaration violates UN Charter and international resolutions on Golan, mainly No. 497 which considers Golan as an occupied Syrian land and stresses that all the Israeli occupation's procedures regarding this Syrian land are null and void.

 The Golan people reiterated that Golan is an integral part of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Israel Exploiting Developments in Syria to Consolidate Its Occupation of Syrian Golan, Ala Warns

GENEVA- Hussam el-Din Ala, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva,  warned on Wednesday against the Israeli malicious attempts to exploit the situation and the latest developments in Syria and the region to consolidate Israel's occupation of the Syrian Golan in a flagrant violation of UNSC resolutions, particularly resolution No.497 for 1981, according to SANA.

The Syrian permanent mission at the UN in Geneva, in cooperation with the Arab Lawyers Union, organized a symposium under the title “the occupied Syrian Golan… 52 years of Israeli occupation, on the sidelines of the 40th session of the Human rights Council.

Syria’s Sovereign Right to Restore Entirety of Golan Non-Negotiable: Ambassador Ala

GENEVA – Ambassador Hussam Eddin Ala, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, said that the people of the occupied Syrian Golan are still committed to their homeland and their Syrian identity, despite the methodical violations of their basic rights at the hands of the Israeli occupation which seeks to sever their ties with their motherland, according to SANA.

In a statement at the 40th Human Rights Council session on Monday, Ala said that the discriminatory punitive practices of the Israeli occupation against the people of the Golan are a blatant violations of civil, economic, and social rights.

SANA said that Ala noted that the occupation has escalated its attempts to consecrate its occupation of the Golan and have its illegal decision to annex it be acknowledged, with increasing attempts to impose its laws on the people of the occupied Golan as well as increasing settlement activities.

Solidarity Stand in Quneitra to Support Syrian Citizens in Golan against Zionist Projects

QUNEITRA- Popular, civil and official figures staged on Monday a sit-in at Quneitra crossing to show solidarity with Syrian citizens in the occupied Syrian Golan against practices of the Zionist entity which aim to loot properties of the families in the villages of Majdal Shams, Baqa’ata and Mas’a’da, SANA reported.

The Israeli occupation authorities seek to set up air turbines on the farmers’ properties to confiscate their lands and Judaize the Golan.

A number of the participants in the solidarity stand told SANA that families of Golan and Quneitra are very determined to continue struggle until liberating the whole territory of Golan and raise the Syrian flag on that land.
