2 members of US-backed militia were killed in Syria

RAQQA, HASAKA, (ST)_Two gunmen affiliated to the US-backed "Syrian Democratic Forces" militia were killed when their cars were targeted in the countrysides of Raqqa and Hasaka.

According to local sources, an explosive device that was planted by unknown people in one of SDF's cars, detonated on the road of al-Mankhar to the east of Raqqa city where one member of the SDF militia [Its Arabic acronym is QASAD] was killed.

Al-Moallem holds joint press conference with Borisov and Lavrov

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Syria's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem has declared that the visiting Russian delegation's meeting with President Bashar al-Assad was constructive and dealt with different political topics and developments in the region.

His remarks were made during a press conference held today with Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrives in Damascus for talks with senior Syrian officials

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Damascus on Monday.

Lavrov, accompanied by Spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, was welcomed at Damascus International Airport by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Sousan, the Russian Ambassador to Syria Alexander Yefimov and a number of foreign ministry officials.

The Russian top diplomat is to hold talks with President Bashar Al-Assad and Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem.

Al-Moallem is to hold a press conference with Borisov and Lavrov at 4:00 p.m. today.

During a tour of the areas affected by fires, the Minister of Agriculture affirms mobilizing efforts to re-afforestation

Working on mobilizing all governmental and civil efforts and initiatives for the reforestation of the areas  that were hit by fire during this period and to involve the local community in this effort and to take preventive measures so the fire doesn't happen  were the most important issues that were agreed upon during yesterday's meeting of the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng. Muhammad Hassan Qatna, and parties concerned in Hama Governorate at the headquarters of the General Authority for Forest Management and Development.

The Minister of Agriculture stressed that the next stage represents a great challenge to implement agricultural plans in light of the current circumstances, underlining the necessity to exert efforts to reforest the sites that have been exposed to fires and encroachments and to compensate for the lost plant cover by intensifying afforestation campaigns and supporting programs and plans to involve the local community in protecting them during the next period.

A Russian delegation headed by Borisov arrives in Damascus for talks on bilateral cooperation

 An official Russian delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, arrived in Damascus today (September 6) evening to hold talks with Syrian officials on developing and strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Syria’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ayman Sousan, the Russian ambassador in Damascus, Alexander Yefimov and a number of officials from the Foreign Ministry received Borisov and the accompanying delegation at Damascus International Airport.

The Russian delegation is scheduled to hold two -day bilateral and economic talks with Syrian officials with the aim of completing the discussions of the Syrian-Russian Joint Committee for Trade, Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation, which held its twelfth meeting in Moscow in December 2019. 

Qasad militia threatens al-Hasakah electricity workers to use weapons to end their sit-in

Al-Hasaka, (ST) - "Qasad (SDF) militia" supported by the American occupation forces threatened the workers of the General Electricity Company of Al-Hasaka to use weapons to end their sit-in near the company, after imposing a curfew in the areas it seized.

A source in the General Electricity Company of al-Hasaka Governorate said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the “Qasad militia” brought armed men to the building of the company and directly threatened the workers with using weapons and kidnapping them in case of they continue the sit-in in front of the headquarter. The source said that the “Qasad militia” stole equipment during the last period, in addition to office furniture from the company's headquarter.

The source pointed out that these violations come within the framework of disrupting services provided to citizens and directly affecting the company's workflow in order to serve agendas in line with the desire of the American occupation forces that are present in the region illegally.

"Qasad" militia had occupied by force of arms since the 27th of last June the headquarters of the General Electricity Company of Al-Hasakah in Al-Nashwa neighborhood, the General Administration of Grains building in the Ghuwairan neighborhood, the Sports City, and part of the youth housing buildings, the Syrian Informatics Association, the Directorate of Industry, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Traffic Branch and the Civil Registry Directorate And the commercial bank and they fired workers.

A number of US-backed SDF militants killed and injured in an attack by unidentified persons

DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- Unidentified persons on Saturday attacked the positions and vehicles of the US occupation-backed Kurdish militia called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern and northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

According to local sources the unidentified persons opened their machinegun fire on a car that belongs to SDF militia in the village of Ghariba al-Sharqeya in Deir Ezzor northern countryside. An SDF militant was killed and two others were wounded in the attack.

In Deir Ezzor eastern countryside, unidentified persons targeted one of the SDF positions in Zeiban town with an explosive device, injuring a number of militants.
