A Turkish officer killed and three soldiers wounded in an attack in the northern countryside of Aleppo

Aleppo (ST): An officer of the Turkish occupation forces was killed and three soldiers were wounded in a missile attack targeting their position in the vicinity of Marea city in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Local media sources stated that a military vehicle belonging to the Turkish occupation forces exploded as a result of being hit by a missile while it was at one of the occupation’s checkpoints in the vicinity of Marea city in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

UN: Water crisis in northeastern Syria affects 5 million people

On October 10thSpokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, stated that the ongoing water crisis in northeastern Syria affects five million people. 

Dujarric said that citizens in these areas were not able to access sufficient and safe water due to low levels, disruption of water networks, and a decrease in the operational capacity of its stations. 

3 Syrian teachers win the 2021 Global Teacher Award

Three Syrian teachers have won the Global Teacher Award 2021, which is awarded annually to exceptional teachers who have made an outstanding contribution to their profession to build a better society through inspirational teaching.

The award was won by Fadia Ali, Anas Abu Saada and Moamen Al-Hatoum from Syria, along with 97 teachers from 110 countries, according to the results that the organization will announce officially on October 10th

Two SDF militants are killed in an attack west of Jaza'a village in Hasakah

Two gunmen from the “SDF” militia were killed in an attack carried out by the popular factions in Tal Hamis district, in the eastern countryside of Hasakah.

Local sources told SANA reporter that “an attack carried out by the popular factions targeted a car carrying two armed men from the US-backed SDF militia, west of Jaza’a village in the eastern countryside of Tel Hamis, which caused their death and the burning of the car.”

The attacks on the positions and movements of the “SDF” militia have been escalated for several months, during which dozens of its militants were killed in its areas of deployment in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Hasakah and Raqqa.

Settlement of status of gunmen and wanted persons in Sidon, Kahil and Al-Naima in Daraa

The process of settling the status of the gunmen, wanted persons and deserters from military service from the people of Saida,  Kahil and Al-Naima, east of Daraa, and handing over arms to the Syrian Arab Army began  today within the framework of the settlement agreement proposed by the state in Daraa governorate.

A SANA reporter in Daraa stated that “the competent authorities began the process of settling the status of a number of armed and wanted men from the towns of Saida, Kahil and Al-Naima, in the presence of a number of dignitaries. The settlement agreement has been put forward by the state to establish a state of security and stability, which contributes to speeding up the restoration of normal life to the entire southern region.

The process of settling the status of the militants and wanted people from the villages of Nassib, Umm Al-Mayathen and Al-Taybeh, and handing over dozens of military rifles to the army began during the past two days. Units of the Syrian Arab Army  patrolled the  area in order to preserve the lives of the people there, marking the full return of the work of service institutions and in appropriate conditions of security and stability.

The Syrian army begins patrolling the villages of Nassib, Umm Al-Mayathen and Al-Taybeh, southeast of Daraa

On October 10th, the Syrian Arab Army units entered the villages ofNassib, Umm Al-Mayathen and Al-Taybeh after completing the settlement of the situation and military service in implementation of the agreement.

Units from the army have started to patrol  and search for public roads leading to the villages  ofNassib, Umm Al-Mayathen and Al-Taybeh and clean explosive residues.

Over the past few weeks, units from the army enhanced their forces in  many towns and villages of the North-West Daraa in the Yarmouk area and the northern countryside areas which had made the settlement agreement in August and started work from Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa.

Turkish occupation destroys civilian homes with artillery shelling, targeting 4 villages in Hasakah countryside

The Turkish occupation forces and their terrorist mercenaries destroyed several houses and caused significant damage to infrastructure as a result of artillery shelling of a number of villages in the vicinity of Tal Tamer district in the northwestern countryside of Hasakah.

Local sources from Tal Tamr district told SANA that heavy artillery shelling was carried out by the Turkish occupation forces, in cooperation with their mercenaries of terrorists deployed along the border with Turkey, on the villages of Dardara, Tal Jum`a, Hamra and Tal Shanan in the northwestern countryside of the province. The bombing  caused the destruction of 3 houses and extensive damage to infrastructure.

The sources referred to the tragic situation in which the people of the region live as a result of the fear and panic caused by the almost daily bombing of their villages and agricultural fields.
