Unidentified gunmen kill 2 policemen on Daraa highway

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ Two policemen were martyred on Wednesday as unidentified gunmen opened fire at them on Daraa highway.
Interior Ministry said in a statement that the two policemen were shot in the head at Izraa of Daraa countryside.

Revolutionary Youth Union‘s Quneitra branch organizes celebration on the occasion 48th anniversary of the October War


Quneitra, (ST) - On the occasion of the 48th anniversary of victory in October Liberation War, the branch of the Revolutionary Youth Union  in Quneitra organized on Wednesday a national celebration in the Ain Al-Tineh, opposite the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan, which also witnessed a popular gathering on this occasion.

Turkish occupation, its mercenaries shell two villages in Hasakah

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on Wednesday shelled two villages in Tal Tamer town in Hasakah northwestern countryside.

Local sources told SANA that a number of rockets and artillery shells, fired by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from the areas under their control in Hasakah northern countryside, fell on the villages of Tal Kifji and Al-Dardara, in Tal Tamer town, causing material damage to the infrastructure.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries attack safe villages and towns in Hasakah on a daily basis, causing human casualties and damage to public and private properties.

The war has been waged on Syria due to its nationalist stances: Al-Jaafari

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari on Wednesday stressed that Syria never makes mistakes in its foreign policy from the strategic point of view, pointing out that the experience has proved the rightness of Syria’s stances towards many projects and agreements that aimed at fragmenting and occupying the region.

Al-Jaafari was speaking during a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation comprising leaders and dignitaries of Syrian clans as well as men of religion.

He affirmed that the war on Syria aimed at avenging it mostly for its nationalist stances, particularly towards the Palestinian cause.

Army formations in Hama celebrate 48th anniversary of victory in October Liberation War

The October Liberation War has been a turning point in the history of the Arab-Zionist conflict and a major achievement in the contemporary history made by the fighters of the Syrian Arab Army while defending the sacredness of their land and the dignity of their homeland. This war has been a proof of the Syrian Army’s ability to confront the most powerful forces of aggression and be the key supporter of resistance against the schemes of the enemies of the nation.

On the 48th anniversary of the October Liberation War, the Syrian army formations in Hama carried out a military parade displaying their fighting skills.

Some of the army personnel highlighted the war anniversary, hailing its meaning and indication in the memory and the hearts of the Syrians and all the Arabs.

They stressed that the achievements of the Syrian Arab Army in the current battle against terrorism is a continuation of the army’s victory over the Zionist enemy in October War.

SDF militiaman killed in Hasakah countryside

HASAKAH, (ST)_A Gunman affiliated to the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” militia was killed on Tuesday as a landmine exploded in the vicinity of Al-Shaddadi city in the countryside of Hasakah. 
According to local sources, the gunman was killed as a result of a  landmine blast that was planted by popular resistance in the vicinity of Al-Shaddadi city.
