Syrian Women: President al-Assad’s Visit to Frontlines in E. Ghouta a ‘Declaration of Victory’

President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to the frontlines in Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and his meeting with civilians liberated from the terrorists in Ghouta by Syrian army reflected the unity of Syrian people and their leader and it was a declaration of victory over foreign-backed terrorist organizations and their supporters in the Ghouta.

This is what a group of Syrian leading women stressed in statements to the Syriatimes e-newspaper via WhatsApp.

Chairperson of Leading Women’s Commission, Major Daed Kanou, said that President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to the front fire lines in the East Ghouta of Damascus proves the unity of the Syrian people and the cohesion between the commander and the soldiers who represent all components of Syrian society.

Turkish forces invade city of Afrin, displacing its locals

Aleppo – Turkish forces and their terrorist mercenaries invaded the city of Afrin on Sunday after fierce continuous bombardment on the city since Jan 20th, SANA reported.

Local and media sources said that Turkish forces and terrorist groups affiliated to them have stormed the residential neighborhoods of Afrin city following heavy shelling carried out during the past few days on the city, which targeted the city’s only hospital, in addition to cutting off water and communications to Afrin.

The brutal Turkish bombardment on Afrin Hospital led to the martyrdom of 37 civilians, all of whom were wounded and displaced persons who had taken refuge in the hospital as the hospital went out of service.

Syrian Arab Army advances further in Ghouta, secures civilians in Saqba and Kafr Batna towns

Damascus – Syrian Arab Army units advanced further in the operation to liberate Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside from Jabhat al-Nusra terror organization and terrorist groups affiliated to it, eliminating terrorists in the towns of Saqba and Kafr Batna.

SANA said that army units of the army implemented intensive operations during the past few hours using tactics suitable for preserving civilians’ lives, and these operations resulted in eliminating the last of the terrorists’ positions in Saqba and Kafr Batna towns.

SANA said that the army is ensuring the security of the locals who are staying in their homes, as engineering units canvass the streets, buildings, and the tunnel network that terrorists had used to transport arms and munitions.

SANA added that at the same time, the army is continuing to secure the safe corridors in the middle and northern sectors of Ghouta to provide the opportunity for civilians to exit the area.

Army Continues to Help Thousands of Civilians to Exit Ghouta through Safe Corridors

DAMASCUS, (ST)- More than 5000 civilians, trapped for years by terrorists to be used as human shields, left eastern Ghouta on Sunday via safe corridors with the help of the Syrian Arab Army.

SANA reporter said that the army secured the exit of more than 5000 civilians, most of them women and children, from Ghouta. The army in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent took the civilians to safe places in temporary housing centers where they were provided with basic needs.

Hundreds of Ghouta Families Received at al-Harjalah Temporary Housing Center

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE- Hundreds of families that left Eastern Ghouta were received at al-Harjalah temporary housing center in al-Kisweh area in Damascus Countryside.

The housing center has rooms equipped with all necessary amenities and a medical center that provides services for patients, children, and elderly people, SANA reported.

The families described their suffering at the hands of terrorists who had deprived them of food, aid, medicine, and vaccines, as well as preventing them from leaving by force and intimidating them by claiming that the Syrian Arab Army will kill if they exit Ghouta, all in order to keep using them as human shields for as long as possible.

Army advances in Ghouta towards Kafr Batna and Saqba, secures evacuation of thousands of civilians

Damascus Countryside – Syrian Arab Army units intensified on Saturday their military operations in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside, inflicting heavy losses on terrorists, and at the same time continued to secure the safe corridors for the evacuation of civilians held hostage by terrorist organizations.

SANA said that army units carried out during the past few hours operations focused on pursuing the remnants of terrorist organizations in the direction of the towns of Kafr Batna and Saqba in the southern part of Ghouta.

The army units advanced steadily from Hamouriyah town, which had been liberated from terrorists two days ago, and destroyed the fortified positions of the terrorist organizations at the outskirts of Saqba, continuing to advance in the residential neighborhoods in the depth of the town as the terrorists’ ranks collapsed rapidly and many of them fled westwards towards the town of Hazeh.
