Supreme Committee for Churches in Palestine urges the international community to reject Israel's settlement plan in West Bank

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, (ST)- The Supreme Presidential Committee for Churches Affairs in Palestine has  condemned the announcement of the Israeli occupation authorities of a new plan to establish 5,000 settlement units in the West Bank, pointing out that these plans are made amid the escalation of attacks and violations by the occupation against the Palestinian Islamic and Christian sanctities, especially in the occupied city of al-Quds.

In a statement reported by the Palestinian WAFA news agency, the committee affirmed that the occupation's insistence on establishing settlement units and confiscating Palestinian lands undermines all chances of establishing a Palestinian state with al-Quds as its capital.

The committee called on the international community and all churches of the world to express their rejection and condemnation of the Israeli occupation's measures and settlement plans in the occupied Palestinian territories, which violate the international law and threaten international peace and security.
