DAMASCUS, (ST)_President Bashar al-Assad  received a phone call from Russian President Vladimir Putin centered on the latest developments  in Syria.

During the call, Presidents al-Assad and President Putin reviewed the implementation of the Russian-Turkish agreements signed on March 5 to achieve stability in the region of Idleb and the recurrent  violations of these agreements by terrorist organizations in addition to the political process.

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Assad on Saturday issued Decree No. 86 for 2020 on delaying the parliamentary elections from April 13 until May 20  within the framework of the country's precautionary measures aiming at averting the possible spread of coronavirus pandemic.

On March 3, President Al-Assad issued Decree No. 76 for 2020 that fixed April 13, 2020 as the date for holding parliamentary elections to elect members of the People's Assembly for the third legislative term.

Damascus,(ST)– President Bashar al-Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed during a phone call on Friday the developments in Syria.

President Putin congratulated President al-Assad over the achievements made during the recent battles in Idleb, briefing His Excellency on the results of the meetings he held along with Russian officials with Turkish officials on Thursday.

DAMASCUS- President Bashar al-Assad affirmed that Head of the Turkish regime, Erdogan, fights beside terrorists out of his brotherhood ideology, so even Erdogan himself is unable to tell the Turks why he is sending his army to fight in Syria.  The single reason is the Muslim Brotherhood and it has nothing to do with Turkish national interests.

The President added in an interview given to Russia 24 TV that in a militarily view, the priority now is Idlib, this is why we see Erdogan using all his force and no doubt under American directives.  This is because by liberating Idlib we will be able to move towards liberating the eastern regions.

DAMASCUS, (ST)_President Bashar al-Assad received today a Libyan delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Rahman al-Aherish and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdul Hadi al-Hwij.

The talks dealt with the recent developments in Syria and Libya besides the war being waged by the two countries against terrorism and all forms of foreign intervention.
