The Syrian Association of Purebred Arabian Horses honors the Knights of the International Sham Festival for the Arabian Horse

Damascus ,(ST)- The Syrian Association of Purebred Arabian Horses held an honoring party today for the Knights of the International Festival of the Arabian Horse, whose first session was launched last April, in the presence of a large number of equestrian lovers.

During the ceremony, a number of media professionals were honored, including representatives of the local media, including the Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA.

Honorary President Basil Jadaan asserted in a speech during the ceremony the importance of the festival, which was station to expand the circle of interest in the pure Arab horse, pointing to the great participation that he enjoyed among the many other activities especially the great march of the Syrian Knights who roamed the streets and neighborhoods of Damascus with the participation of a number of knights from several countries.

Syrian junior women football team loses to its Lebanese counterpart in the West Asian Championship

Amman, ST- The Syrian junior women football team lost to its Lebanese counterpart yesterday 0-7 at the end of its matches in the West Asian Championship held in Amman, in which Jordan and Palestine also participated

Our team tied with Jordan 0-0 in the opening round and beat its Palestinian counterpart with one goal in the second round.

The tournament system stipulates that the four teams play in the league system from one stage, and the team who achieves most points during the three rounds , will crowned hero.

Syria wins 114 medals in Arab Weightlifting Championship in Jordan

The Syrian weightlifting team won a total of 114 medals in the Arab Weightlifting Championship which was held in Jordan.

20 Syrian athletes (male and female) and 168 athletes from 16 Arab countries participated in the competition.

The Syrian team harvested 54 gold, 47 silver and 13 bronze medals.


Hamsho wins grand prix of 6th stage of Int’l peace championship

Damascus Countryside, ST- Syrian Equestrian Omar Hamsho won the Grand Prix of the sixth stage of the International Peace Championship /Climbing barriers / classified internationally two-stars which concluded the activities on Sunday in Basil Al-Assad Club in Dimas, Damascus countryside.

The Jordanian Equestrian Ibrahim Bsharat came in second, and Sham Al-Assad, ranked third.

Hamsho was ranked in the first place of the fifth stage of competitions that took place last week ,and the third of competitions that were held last month in the same club, knowing that the Grand Prix competitions are held for the upper class for a height of 145 cm.

Syrian Junior women football team beats Palestinian team in West Asian Championship

Syrian Junior women football team beat Palestinian team in WAC (1-0) in their second match which was held in Amman.

Tala Nour scored for Syria from a penalty (23 min).

With this result, Syria topped the group with 4 point.

It is to be mentioned that Syria tied with Jordan in the opening match (0-0).
